Dirty Duathlon: Saturday November 3rd, 2012

Join CITA for a great day of mountain biking, trail running and hanging with the funnest people around at our Center Trails. Grab the family, grab your friends, politely escort them down to Greenwood Park and then apologize for grabbing them. But they will thank you because there’s something for everyone! Rock the Du on your own or partner up (1 runner, 1 cyclist) if you’re skeered to tackle the whole thing alone. And of course, we ALWAYS need help from our fellow trail lovers and have many rewarding positions available such as registration, trail sweeper (scooping those up that don’t, uh…make it), set up, take down, assist timing, herd cats and organize the cowbell choir amongst others. Let us know if you can help and we’ll put you to work, tout suite! Your conscience, your friends and the trails will thank you.

Here are the basics with more to come…

8.00am Reg opens

9.00am Trail Run 4mi

9.02am Doggie Du 4mi

11.00am Sprint Du 2mi run / 4mi bike

12.00pm Kids Du run/bike around the pond (FREE!)

1.00pm Dirty Du (relay or individual) 2mi/10mi/2mi

$25 pre-registration, $35 day offor each event except for Kids Du

Our biggest request BY FAR was to have food available and because we are excellent listeners, we have taken action….and we also secured very tasty food. Word on the street is that Tacopocalypse will be there to exchange your measly dollars for awesomeness in a hand-pressed corn tortilla. You’re welcome.

We are currently searching for sponsors, especially those that are local, so if you’d like to help out or know someone or a business that would, please hit us, or them, up! I think I just used up my daily quota of commas in that sentence. We need all the help we can get and the more we can pull together, the better the event for ALL involved. Help us help you help them! Or something like that. See you there!
