2020 RACE info

Due to COVID-19 we have taken the unfortunate decision to cancel the DirtyDu for 2020. We apologize for this inconvenience. We will be back for 2021 as long as we are able to safely host the event.

The Des Moines Dirty Duathlon is Central Iowa Trails Association's annual mountain biking/trail running race held at Center Trails at Greenwood Park in Des Moines, Iowa.

Breakfast: Coffee & Light Breakfast Items
Snacks: Power Bars, etc.
Lunch: TBD

100% of the proceeds go towards maintaining and building local singletrack trails in the Des Moines Metro.

• Sprint Duathlon (Solo & Relay) |  1 Lap Run + Two Laps Bike
  2.2-Mile Trail Run + 6-Mile Mountain Bike

• Kids Duathlon (FREE) | 1 lap run and 1 lap bike on designated kids course

• Dirty Duathlon (Solo & Relay) | 1 Lap Run + 3 Laps Bike + 1 Lap Run
  2.2-Mile Trail Run + 10-Mile Mountain Bike + 2.2-Mile Trail Run

The course incorporates professionally built singletrack throughout Greenwood Park in Des Moines that passes through an old growth forest, including super fun, flowy downhill, a creek crossing, and plenty of lung-busting climbing.

Start and Finish will be near the Jay Spence Shelter at Greenwood Park near Bergman Academy.

Directions: From Grand Avenue, turn south onto 45th Street, then left up the hill toward Bergman Academy. At the top of the hill is parking.
